北师大珠海分校国际交流又出新意 国际街正式启动
《珠海特区报》讯 记者刘联通讯员王丽娜报道：北师大国际街前晚启动，该校将通过此举全力打造学生用英语交流氛围。
北师大珠海分校这次将校内原有的海华苑的一条街道改为欧式风格。校方希望借用美国迪斯尼里面未来世界的简称，用做学生社区的街道名字，代表了学生对未来世界的探险和向往。
国际街正式启动之后，会鼓励整条街道上的商家加入国际商业联盟，凡是有国际商业联盟标示的商家，如果同学们在购买过程中使用英语就可以享受打折。通过这种方式，鼓励同学开口说，多交流。
活动当天，北京师范大学珠海分校副校长吴忠魁等来到现场，与在校的来自16个国家的留学生共同在丽泽湖畔种下国际友谊林，并在国际街上设置了20个帐篷进行活动展示，校方希望将国际街做成国际化的一个载体表现，吸引更多的外国朋友来到国际街。
据悉，国际街一期建设将通过国际街商业联盟、英语沙龙、模拟联合国峰会、口语秀等为常设性活动，不定期举办多元文化展示、互动和交流活动，积极创设条件吸引具有国际特色的学生社团及学生组织、广大留学生和外籍教师参与到国际街的活动中来，将其真正打造成为中外文化交流、碰撞和学生互动、发展的平台。

EPCOT，是英文“Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow”的缩写，中文称为“艾波卡特”，是我们对海华苑1-2栋周边街区的英文命名，其借用美国迪斯尼里面未来世界的简称，用做学生社区的街道名字代表我校学生对未来世界的探险和向往。
在学生社区建设国际街是教学部学生社区辅导员办公室落实学校国际化办学特色的重要举措，是“学习型、国际化”学生社区的重要组成部分。EPCOT国际街以“我与世界”为主题，积极融入国际育人因素，围绕学生“外语应用、国际视野和跨文化交流能力”设置三个模块内容，致力于打造成为校内全（仿）真的学生运用外语实践的基地、开拓国际视野的平台、培育多元文化的土壤。
为突出EPCOT街区的全真体验性，国际街积极推进现有硬件条件的改造和软环境建设，力求以全新的国际特色街道样式出现。EPCOT街（第一期建设）以国际街商业联盟、英语沙龙、模拟联合国峰会、口语秀等为常设性活动，不定期举办多元文化展示、互动和交流活动，积极创设条件吸引具有国际特色的学生社团及学生组织、广大留学生和外籍教师参与到国际街的活动中来，将其真正打造成为中外文化“交流、碰撞”和学生“互动、发展”的平台。
Introduction of EPCOT
EPCOT, the abbreviation of the "Experimental the Prototype Community of Tomorrow”, is the English name of the International Street surrounding HaiHua Garden. It is also the abbreviation name of Future World (EPCOT) in Walt Disneyland. This name represents our students’ yearning for adventure in the future world.
The construction of EPCOT International Street in student community is one of the important measures of enhancing the Internationalization of the university and the important part of establishing a student community with "learning and internationalization”as its characteristic. The EPCOT International Street is conducted with the theme of "I and the World" and the concept of international education. There are three modules set up according to the guideline of nurturing the students' foreign languages proficiency, international perspective and cross-cultural communication ability. The purpose is to build the practice base of using foreign languages, develop the platform of the international perspective, and cultivate the soil of the multicultural elements.
To enhance the authenticity of the EPCOT international street, we spare no effort to transform the existing hardware facilities and construct the soft environment, building a street with a brand new international style. The regular activities held on the street include the International Street Business League, English Salon, Model United Nations and the Oral English Show. Other activities like the multi-cultural display, interaction and communication activities will be held at EPCOT (the first phase of construction) irregularly. We are trying to involve student associations and organizations with international characteristics, overseas students and teachers in our activities. Thus the EPCOT international street will become a platform on which Chinese cultures meet and exchange with the foreign culture, students interacting with each other and developing their own abilities.
